Holistic approach with the multiple intelligences

At Vagdevi Vidyapeeth International School, Khargone we impart an excellent education that prepares our students:

Intellectually capable, Socially sensitive & responsible, Emotionally stable, Morally vibrant and Spiritually inclined.

At VVIS we design & deliver the curriculum in a way to reflect the integration of holistic approach with the multiple intelligences activities.

Such a multiple intelligences based holistic approach aimes at promoting not only the cognitive developmental skills but also the physical, socio-emotional and aesthetic developmental skills.

Simply, we try to connect the body, mind and spirit of a child as a whole.

multiple intelligences

At Vagdevi Vidyapeeth, we focus on developing multiple intelligences.

Traditional schools focus most of their attention on linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence.

However, according to Dr. Howard Gardner, the founder of the theory of multiple intelligence, we should also place equal attention on individuals who show gifts in the other intelligences: the artists, architects, musicians, naturalists, designers, dancers, therapists, entrepreneurs, and others who enrich the world in which we live.

At VVIS Multiple Intelligences Model serves as a foundation of teaching & learning methods and basis of personalized education.

Linguistic intelligence

Well developed verbal skills and showing interest in reading books or solving puzzles

Logical intelligence

Ability to conceptualize and decipher patterns, codes

Spatial intelligence

Ability to think creatively and visualize more accurately and abstractly

Kinaesthetic intelligence

Ability to participate actively in sports and handle objects skilfully

Musical intelligence

Ability to produce and appreciate rhythm and music

Interpersonal intelligence

Capacity to detect & respond to moods, motivations & desires of others

Intrapersonal intelligence
