Revised School timings w.e.f. 01 September 2022

Pranam!
In order to ensure a smooth transition for students from home-based online learning to a formal and more stable interactive environment of in-person school based learning, the school re-adjusted (reduced) its timing for about 2 months time in this session.
Now, since students have gradually adapted to school life again, it is time to normalize the school timings with an additional focus on the filling the learning gaps to help students mitigate learning loss and catch up with class-studies.
With effective from Thursday, 01 September 2022, the daily school timings for the various classes will be as follows:
Class Nursery, LKG & UKG : 09:30 AM to 01:00 PM
Class 1 & Class 2: 08:50 AM to 01:35 PM
Class 3 to Class 8 : 07:45 AM to 02:45 PM
Vehicles shall ply accordingly for transportation.

01 सितंबर 2022 से विद्यालयीन कक्षाओं के समय में वृद्धि

प्रणाम!
जैसा कि आप जानते हैं कि इस सत्र के पूर्व, विद्यार्थी काफी समय तक अपने घर के वातावरण में अनौपचारिक रूप से ऑनलाइन पढ़ रहे थे। औपचारिक विद्यालय शुरू होने के बाद, इस सत्र में लगभग २ महीने के समय के लिए विद्यालय ने अपने संचालन-समय को समायोजित (कम) किया ताकि विद्यार्थी दबाव या असहज अनुभव न करें और धीरे-धीरे पुनः विद्यालयीन -कक्षाओं के अभ्यस्त हो जाएं।
अब चूंकि छात्रों ने पुनः विद्यालयीन – कक्षाओं को आत्मसात कर लिया है इसलिए यह आवश्यक है कि विद्यालय के समय को पुनः सामान्य किया जाए ताकि पिछली कक्षा के शैक्षणिक अंतराल को कम करने के साथ ही वर्तमान कक्षा-अभ्यास की प्रगति पर अधिक बल दिया जा सके।
गुरुवार, 01 सितंबर 2022 से प्रभावी, विभिन्न कक्षाओं के लिए विद्यालय का दैनिक समय इस प्रकार होगा :

These days, we are witnessing a rise in Viral infections. Owing to the sudden weather changes, Viral infection is causing the spread of colds, body aches, stomach-related illnesses, fever etc.
Seasonal Viral fever is contagious, children must avoid contact with infectious people during this time, and we must take precautions to avoid infection. Therefore, please do not send your child to school if they complain of a cold, cough, tummy pain, diarrhoea, or any other such symptoms; and allow the child to receive the necessary care.

इन दिनों, हम वायरल संक्रमण के मामलों में वृद्धि देख रहे हैं। अचानक मौसम परिवर्तन के कारण वायरल संक्रमण जन्य सर्दी, बुखार, शरीर-दर्द, पेट से संबंधित रोग इत्यादि का फैलाव हो रहा है।
यह वायरल बुखार संक्रामक होता है; इस अवधि में बच्चों को संक्रमण से बचाव हेतु, हम सभी को सावधानी रखने की आवश्यकता है। बच्चों को संक्रमित व्यक्ति से संपर्क में आने से बचना है। अतः आप से अनुरोध है कि यदि बालक या बालिका को सर्दी, खासी, पेट-दर्द, दस्त या बुखार है या ऐसे लक्षण प्रतीत होते हैं तो कृपया उन्हें विद्यालय न भेजकर उचित स्वास्थ्य लाभ लेने दें।

Vagdevi Vidyapeeth is celebrating Shri Krishna Janamashtami. The following activities will be conducted as part of the celebrations on 20-Aug-2022:
Nursery, LKG & UKG: Students must come to school dressed as either Shri Krishna’s or Mata Yashoda.
1.Matki Decoration – Participating students need to bring the a small & low weight decorated Matki from their home.
2.Play and Dance – Theme Shri Krishna’s birth celebration.

श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी उत्सव के अंतर्गत विद्यालय 20 अगस्त 2022 को निम्नलिखित गतिविधियों का आयोजन करने जा रहा है:

The School Uniform brings uniformity, equality, and oneness among students. It develops a sense of belongingness, team spirit, and discipline. Students are expected to wear full uniform everyday in school.
From 31 August 2022 onwards, it is compulsory for all students to attend school in full uniform, as specified. Parents are expected to ensure that their wards are neatly dressed in the prescribed school uniform before leaving home.
The school uniform is obligatory on all school days and at official functions. Uniform 1 on all weekdays except Wednesday and Saturday. Uniform 2 on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Both the uniforms are available in the market.

Independence Day Celebration

The school will celebrate Independence Day on Monday, 15 August 2022 on the school premises, as it does every year, in honour of our national symbols, in remembrance of our national heroes who dedicated their lives to the country and to instil a sense of national pride and patriotism among the students.
The students in grades Nursery to Class-2 will have a holiday on this day. All the students in Class-3 to Class-8 must be present on Monday, 15 August 2022. Reporting time will be 07:45 AM and dispersal will take place at 09:30 AM.

प्रतिवर्षानुसार इस वर्ष भी, हमारे राष्ट्रीय प्रतीकों के सम्मान में, देश के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित करने वाले राष्ट्र-नायकों की स्मृति में तथा विद्यार्थियों में राष्ट्रीय गौरव एवं देशभक्ति की भावना को प्रबल करने हेतु विद्यालय सोमवार, 15 अगस्त 2022 को विद्यालय परिसर में स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह मनाने जा रहा है।

As part of the celebrations for Raksha-Bandhan, the school will host the following events on 08 Aug 2022 and 10 Aug 2022:
All Classes : Rakhi -making activity
All students from grades Nursery to VIII are required to take part in this activity. Every student is required to make a Rakhi at school by using eco-friendly products as much as possible.
Students in the Nursery, LKG & UKG grades need not bring any materials from home. Students from Class I to Class VIII are required to bring their own decorations from home. The class teacher will provide a list of such items.
Nursery to Class 2 : Intra class Vocal contest
Students are required to perform a story or rhyme or a song about Raksha-Bandhan before the class either in Hindi or English

रक्षाबंधन उत्सव के अंतर्गत विद्यालय 08 अगस्त 2022 और 10 अगस्त 2022 को निम्नलिखित गतिविधियों का आयोजन करने जा रहा है:
सभी कक्षाएं : राखी निर्माण
कक्षा नर्सरी से आठवीं तक के सभी विद्यार्थियों को इस गतिविधि में भाग लेना आवश्यक है। प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी को यथसंभव पर्यावरण अनुकूल वस्तुओं का प्रयोग करते हुए विद्यालय में राखी बनाना है।
कक्षा नर्सरी, LKG और UKG के विद्यार्थियों को घर से कोई सामग्री लाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। कक्षा 1 से कक्षा 8 तक के विद्यार्थियों को घर से स्वयं की राखी निर्माण सामग्री लानी होगी। इन वस्तुओं की सूची कक्षा-शिक्षक द्वारा उप्लब्ध कराई जाएगी।
नर्सरी से कक्षा 2 : कक्षा स्तरीय विविध – स्वर प्रतियोगिता
छात्रों को रक्षा-बंधन पर आधारित एक कहानी या कविता या गीत हिंदी अथवा अंग्रेजी भाषा में कक्षा के सम्मुख प्रस्तुत करना है।

The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. To further honour the national flag, Govt. of India has planned “Har Ghar Tiranga” program under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” activities. It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the citizens and promote awareness about our national flag.
While the school will hoist the national flag on its premises, we encourage students and their families to hoist the national flag at their house from 13 to 15 August 2022 following the Flag Code. Some salient features of the Flag Code are listed on the school website for the information of the students and parents here: www.vidyapeeth.net/flag-code
Any member of public, a private organization or an educational institution may hoist/display the National Flag on all days and occasions, ceremonial or otherwise, consistent with the dignity and honour of the National Flag. भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज पूरे देश के लिए राष्ट्रीय गौरव का प्रतीक है। राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के सम्मान में भारत सरकार ने “आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव” के अंतर्गत “हर घर तिरंगा” कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया है। वस्तुतः यह पूरे देश में हर जगह भारतीयों को राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के लिए प्रेरित करने की परिकल्पना है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य जनमानस में देशभक्ति की भावना को प्रबल करना और हमारे राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के बारे में जागरुकता को बढ़ावा देना है।

Guru Purnima Celebration

Guru Purnima or Vyasa Purnima holds immense cultural and spiritual significance and is one of the most prominent celebrations in Indian culture. The word “Guru” originates from Sanskrit, where “Gu” means ignorance or darkness and “Ru” denotes the ‘elimination or removal’. Thus, a Guru is the one who frees us of the darkness of ignorance and shows us the path of light of knowledge and guides our lives. “Purnima” means a Full Moon day. Guru Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day of the 4th month (Aashada) of the Indian Lunar calendar.
Gurus hold immense significance in Indian culture. Guru Purnima is celebrated to honour Gurus, mentors, and teachers who shape our lives. As a mark of respect to our Gurus, ‘Guru Purnima‘ will be celebrated on 14-July-2022 in VVIS. The celebration will start with a prayer in the morning. The following group activities are also organized for students as a part of the celebration:
Nursery to Class 2: Greeting Card Making. Students need not bring any material from home. All students to execute the activity in a group.
Class 3 to Class 8: Thali Decoration activity. Participating students need to bring a few items from home. A list of such items will be provided by the class teacher well in advance. Group size is 1 to 3 students per group.

भारतीय संस्कृति के प्रमुख पर्वों में, गुरु पूर्णिमा या व्यास पूर्णिमा का अत्यधिक सांस्कृतिक और आध्यात्मिक महत्त्व है। “गुरु” शब्द की उत्पत्ति संस्कृत से हुई है, जहाँ “गु” का अर्थ अज्ञान या अंधकार है और “रु” का अर्थ है अज्ञान को दूर करने वाला ।
इस प्रकार, “गुरु” वह है जो हमें हमारे जीवन में अज्ञानरूपी अन्धकार से हटाकर ज्ञानरुपी प्रकाश की ओर मार्ग दिखाता है। “पूर्णिमा” का अर्थ है पूर्ण चंद्र का दिन। गुरु पूर्णिमा भारतीय चंद्र कैलेंडर के चौथे महीने (आषाढ़) की पूर्णिमा के दिन मनाई जाती है।

वाग्देवी विद्यापीठ में गुरुओं के सम्मान-स्वरुप 14-जुलाई-2022 को ‘गुरु पूर्णिमा’ उत्सव मनाया जाएगा। समारोह की शुरुआत सुबह प्रार्थना के साथ होगी। उत्सव के एक भाग के रूप में छात्रों के लिए निम्नलिखित सामूहिक गतिविधियाँ (Activities) आयोजित की जा रही हैं:
नर्सरी से कक्षा 2: ‘ग्रीटिंग कार्ड बनाना’। छात्रों को घर से कोई सामग्री लाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। सभी छात्र समूह में गतिविधि क्रियान्वित करेंगे।
कक्षा 3 से कक्षा 8: ‘थाली सजावट’। प्रतिभागी छात्रों को घर से कुछ सजावट सामग्री लाने की आवश्यकता है। इन वस्तुओं की सूची कक्षा शिक्षक द्वारा उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। समूह का आकार – प्रति समूह 1 से अधिकतम 3 छात्र है।

Celebrating International Day of Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The idea of the International Day of Yoga was first proposed by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), on 27 September 2014.
The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.
The 8th International Day of Yoga will be observed on 21-Jun-2022. On this occasion, VVIS is going to celebrate the 8th International Day of Yoga Event on the same day physically on school premises following the essential COVID-19 protocols.
We encourage all our students to participate in this Yogabhyas (Yoga Session) wherein basic Dhyan, Pranayam and Yogasana shall be practised. There’s no fee for attending this session. Yogabhyas (Yoga Session) shall start at 8:00 AM on 21-Jun-2022 in VVIS campus.
- Please keep a mask & a sanitizer with you.
- Please wear light and comfortable cotton clothes so that the movement of the body parts can be done easily. White colour clothes are preferred for this event.
- Yoga should be practised on an empty stomach or light stomach.
- Please bring a mat/rug or yoga mat with you.
- It is strongly recommended that you consult with your physician before beginning any exercise programme.

योग एक शारीरिक, मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक क्रिया है जिसकी उत्पत्ति भारतवर्ष में हुई थी। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस का विचार सबसे पहले हमारे माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 27 सितंबर 2014 को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा (यूएनजीए) में अपने भाषण के दौरान प्रस्तावित किया था।
2014 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा में स्वीकृति के बाद अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 21 जून को 2015 से प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जाता है।
8वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 21 जून 2022 को मनाया जाएगा। इस अवसर पर वाग्देवी विद्यापीठ, इसी दिन 8वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस उत्सव विद्यालय परिसर में समुपस्थित होकर (on-site) COVID-19 प्रावधानों के तहत मनाने जा रहा है।
हम अपने सभी छात्रों को इस योगाभ्यास सत्र में भाग लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करते हैं जिसमें मौलिक ध्यान, प्राणायाम और योगासन का अभ्यास किया जाएगा। इस सत्र में प्रतिभागिता हेतु कोई शुल्क नहीं है।योगाभ्यास सत्र विद्यालय परिसर में 21-जून-2022 को प्रातः 8:00 बजे शुरू होगा।

This is to inform you that the school is going to reopen after the summer vacation and academic classes for the session 2022-23 will be held physically in school. Please note the date school timing for your ward:
Nursery, LKG & UKG: 24 Jun 2022, 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Class 1 & Class 2: 22 Jun 2022., 08:45 AM to 01:15 PM.
Class 3, Class 4, Class 5, Class 6, Class 7 & Class 8: 20 Jun 2022, 07:45 AM to 02:15 PM.
The personal health & hygiene of every child is of utmost importance. Keeping in mind the need of daily cleaning and sanitizing of the ward’s uniform, an exemption from wearing the uniform every day is granted until further instructions. Students need to maintain a formal dress code in school.
Students should carry a mask, a small bottle of sanitizer and a small napkin/clean cloth daily with them.
Students need to bring their own lunch, water bottle and stationery. Sharing lunch, water bottle and stationery items is prohibited.
Do not send your ward to school if the child is not feeling well. Students showing COVID symptoms are not allowed to enter the school campus.
If the child or any of the family members shows COVID symptoms, they should not send the child to the school.
It is recommended that eligible children receive the vaccine according to the Govt. guidelines for vaccination of children.

प्रत्येक छात्र का स्वास्थ्य और दैनिक स्वच्छता अत्यंत महत्त्वपूर्ण है। छात्रों के गणवेश (Uniform) की दैनिक स्वच्छता की आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए, आगामी निर्देश तक प्रत्येक दिन गणवेश पहनने की अनिवार्यता में छूट प्रदान की जाती है; छात्र गणवेश या कोईं अन्य शालीन परिधान (ड्रेस कोड) पहनकर विद्यालय आ सकते हैं। विद्यार्थियों को प्रतिदिन अपने साथ एक मास्क, एक छोटी बोतल सैनटाइजर और एक छोटा रुमाल/साफ कपड़ा लाना चाहिए।
छात्रों को अपना भोजन, पानी की बोतल और पाठ्य-सामग्री (स्टेशनरी) स्वयं लाना होगी। भोजन, पानी की बोतल और पाठ्य-सामग्री (स्टेशनरी) साझा करना प्रतिबंधित है।
अगर छात्र का स्वास्थ्य ठीक नहीं है तो उसे स्कूल न भेजें। COVID लक्षण वाले छात्रों को विद्यालय परिसर में प्रवेश करने की अनुमति नहीं है।
यदि बच्चे या उसके परिवार के किसी सदस्य में COVID के लक्षण दिखते हैं तो बच्चे को विद्यालय नहीं भेजना है।
